Senior leaders Motiur Rahman and Nurul Amin Choudhury suspended from AIUDF

GUWAHATI: Two senior leaders of the All India United Democratic Front(AIUDF) party Motiur Rahman and Nurul Amin Choudhury were suspended from the party for defying the party’s decision.

AIUDF Central Committee leaders Nurul Amin Choudhury and Motiur Rahman formed a new political party named Assam United Democratic Front(AUDF) and submitted nominations from the Rupahihat and Batadrawa constituencies in the Nagaon district of Assam respectively .

The official order stated, “We are observing the anti-party & destructive activities of the following office bearers who are participating in Assam Assembly Election, 2021 in their own whims and style, which is a serious offense and gross violence of the party constitution and liable for disciplinary action under Article XXV(A) of the constitution.

As such, they have been suspended from the All India United Democratic Front with immediate effect.”

It is to be mentioned that the AUDF has been formed with a group of AIUDF leaders and activists who are dissatisfied with the party activities. Both the candidates have already started their campaign in their constituencies by putting up banners and posters under the new party’s name.
