GUWAHATI, Feb 2: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reportedly instructed officials to ensure “zero errors” in arrangements for Monday’s ‘Amrit Snan’, the first since the January 29 event which was marred by the death of 30 devotees in a stampede at the Maha Kumbh.

Reports stated that the UP Chief Minister held a review meeting at Prayagraj on Saturday and asked officials to avoid any laxity in security measures while also instructing them to ensure the safety and convenience of everyone.

Reports also stated that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also stressed the need for increased parking facilities so that devotees will have to walk the least.

According to the reports, he is also learnt to have said that there will be no VIP protocol in place before, during or after major bathing days in the wake of the stampede tragedy.

The heightened security and safety measures comes after at least 30 people had died and 60 injured in the pre-dawn stampede last Wednesday (January 29).
