GUWAHATI: Tens of thousands thronged 75th session of Asom Sahitya Sabha on its fourth day undergoing at Sualkuchi in Kamrup district . People from across the state arrived at ‘Jyoti Khetra’ to witness the great literary and cultural extravaganza.
A wide range of events has been organised to mark the 75th session of Sabha. Ambikagiri Raychoudhury memorial second open session was held today where many prominent personalities of the state took part.
On the other hand, Ratna Ojha memorial cultural programme will be held tonight. A number of well-known artistes will perform in the event. Baul artistes from West Bengal mesmerised the audience in the cultural programme held last night.
Meanwhile, various literary programmes including poets’ meet and seminars have also been organised. Book fair, exhibitions, stalls selling different items including handicrafts are also major sources of attraction among the visitors. Many antique items are also being displayed at the exhibition.
Northeast Frontier Railway has put up its stall at Sahitya Sabha session focusing development of railways in northeast.
