Guwahati: After a long gap schools in Assam for students of Class X of all government and private schools reopened today. The school welcomed over 4 lakh students to campus.
Special precautionary measures have been taken in schools to avoid Covid19 infection.
Apart from sanitizing the school campuses and classrooms, the classes have been started following the Covid protocols as directed by the government.
Earlier on Thursday state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the development.
Meanwhile, the development made the students happy as they will again be able to do offline classes.
CM Sarma has asked the school authorities to ensure all school employees and staff are fully vaccinated.
It may be mentioned that with the improvement of COVID-19’s situation, lower primary classes will also reopen soon in phases, said state Education Minister Ranoj Pegu.
Minister Pegu has also commented regarding the sitting structure and arrangement in school.
Speaking to the media Dr. Ranoj Pegu said, “We have decided to resume the physical 10 standard classes from Monday. It will no more be online. Not more than 30 students are allowed in each section of the class. A new SOP will be released by tomorrow for the teachers and students of class 10.”
