GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal met former chief minister Tarun Gogoi to enquire about the latter’s health condition who is undergoing treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
“Visited former Chief Minister Shri @tarun_gogoi at Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) and inquired about his health. The doctors & hospital authorities have taken special care of him. Wish him a speedy recovery,” Sonowal said after meeting the former chief minister.

The 85-year-old veteran politician complained of uneasiness on Sunday night, after which he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the GMCH.
The three-time chief minister was discharged from the hospital on October 25 after he recovered from the COVID-19 infection and other post-recovery complications after more than 60 days.
