GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ceremonially distributed Land Pattas to landless indigenous beneficiaries in Majuli on Tuesday.

Sarbananda Sonowal distributed Land Pattas to 4,513 landless indigenous beneficiaries in Majuli.

At the programme, Sonowal also distributed financial aid to 187 schools for infrastructure development and financial assistance to flood-affected people.

The Assam chief minister handed over Land Patta of Dakhinpat Satra to Satradhikar Shri Nanigopal Deva Goswami during the ceremony.

Addressing the public, Sarbananda Sonowal elaborated steps taken by Govt for holistic development of the river island district.

The CM sought cooperation of all in fulfilling the government’s endeavor of protecting the rich biodiversity of Majuli, which he said is also the epicenter of art and culture.
