GUWAHATI: According to several media reports, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The 61-year-old actor, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after complaining of breathlessness on August 8, was discharged from the medical facility on Monday. Till now there is no official confirmation about the actor being detected with lung cancer.
As per a report by Film Information, the actor will soon fly to the US for treatment.
He tested negative for COVID-19. “Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation and my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help and care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes and blessings,” he had tweeted on the day of his admission to the hospital.
Earlier today, the actor posted a statement on Twitter, announcing that he would be taking a “short break” from professional commitments to focus on medical treatment.
