GUWAHATI: A team of Sadiya Police on Sunday arrested two drug peddlers from Lakhimipathar village and Sopakhuwa Seuj Nagar in Sadiya, Assam. The Assam Police team seized 40 grams of contrabands from their residence.
The two drug peddlers are Arunjyoti Siring and Deepak Gogoi.
“We searched the premise of Arun Chiring and found 2.1-grams of heroin. After interrogating him, on the basis of his inputs, we launched another operation in Dipak Gogoi‘s residence at Seuj Nagar and found around 38 grams of Brown Sugar. Total we got around 40 grams of drugs,” said the investigating officer.
He added, “We also found a weight machine and many plastic containers from their residence. We have arrested them and along with the contraband items, we have also seized two mobile phones. Further investigation is on.”
