Guwahati: Rannvijay Singha became an overnight star and the Youth icon after winning the TV reality show Roadies. Born on March 16, 1983 in Jalandhar, Ranvijay Singh is celebrating his 38th birthday today.
After winning Roadies season 1, Rannvijay was successful in making his name in the industry in a short span of time with his down to earth personality and charming looks. Later on he became the host of the reality show Roadies and Splitsvilla.
Rannvijay belongs to an Army background family. His father Iqbal Singh Singha is retired Lt. General of Indian Army and his mother Baljeet Kaur is a housewife, although his father is retired but is currently posted in Syria as the UN Force Commander.
Owing to his father’s transferable jobs across India, he went to nine different schools, and finally graduated from Army Public SchoolDhaula Kuan, New Delhi, he graduated from Hansraj College (University of Delhi doing B. Com hons).
Rannvijay too wanted to join the Indian Army but destiny had different plans for him. Rannvijay cleared his test and was all set to join Indian army before he opted to participate in Roadies, because he wanted to win the Hero Honda Karizma R which was the prize for winning the show. Singha is the only exception in his family to not serve in Indian military as his family is serving Indian military since six generations.
Rannvijay has a tremendous fan following across the nation and people would audition for Roadies only to meet him.
On personal front Rannvijay is married to Priyanka Vohra. They tied the knot on 2014 in a secret ceremony in Mombasa Kenya.
Talking about Rannvijay and Priyanka, both of them met through a common friend. Priyanka is from London and when she came to India to meet her relative, there was when she met Rannvijay and later got married. They are blessed with a girl Kayanat who was born on January 16, 2017.
On March 4, 2021 actor shared that he is going to become a father for the second time. According to the information received, his wife Priyanka Singha is pregnant for the second time. He shared a beautiful picture with his wife where it can be seen Priyanka is pregnant.
Rannvijay made his Bollywood debut in Toss: A Flip of Destiny in 2009. He then acted in London Dreams along with Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan. He further appeared in Action Replayy in 2011. He made his Punjabi cinema debut in 2011, starring in Jimmy Shergill’s Dharti. He also acted in a horror film “3 AM”.
He has also hosted other MTV shows such as MTV Stuntmania, MTV Force India The Fast and The Gorgeous, MTV Scooty Pep Diva and MTV Troll Police.
