A forest guard was injured after he was attacked by a rhino at Agoratoli range of the Kaziranga National Park today (Sep 22). The injured forester has been identified as Nipen Barman who has been admitted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital with back and chest injuries.
The forest guard, deployed at the Debeswari forest camp, was attacked by the rhino near the Ronga Motoriya camp while he was on his way home.

Barman was at first rushed to a hospital in Bokakhat but was shifted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital for better treatment. The injured forest guard is learnt to be out of danger.
