GUWAHATI: Over 30 classic cars, scooters and motorcycles took part in the spectacular “Republic Day Vintage and Classic Automobile Unity Ride” in Guwahati today.
Assam Tourism Development Corporation chairman , Jayanta Malla Baruah flagged off the rally which was organised by Heritage Automobile Association of Assam from Assam Engineering Institute playground of Chandmari.
An array of vintage cars were lined up in the rally that provided a feast for the eyes of visitors and automobile enthusiasts. Owners of classic two wheeler like Rajdoot Boby, Lambretta participated in the rally. The other vintage vehicles included Willys Jeep, Volkswagen Beetle, Morris, Fiat, Roadstar and Desoto.
Though most of the participants were from Guwahati, some car owners from other parts of the state also took part in the Vintage Car Rally.
