Finally, car that plunged into Dikhow pulled out

PUBLISHED:

Four days after a car accidentally plunged into the Dikhow river at Gaurisagar in Sivasagar district of Assam with five people, all belonging to the same family, search teams were able to locate the vehicle that was later pulled out of the river. After three days of intense search operations that included Navy divers who were specially flown in from Vishakapatnam to assist NDRF, SDRF and army personnel involved in the search for the ill-fated car, SDRF divers located the car just 200 metres from the place where it veered off the embankment road and slipped into the river on Saturday night.

SDRF divers used a magnet weighing 10 kg to locate the car that was then pulled out of the water.
