The BJP’s campaign trail was led by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and NEDA convener and State Finance, Health and PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as the duo continued with their mega campaign, appealing people to support the BJP and its alliance partners in the hustings.
Chief Minister Sonowal continued his campaign in Barak Valley and addressed election rallies at Ratabari, Katigorah and Sonai.
On the other hand, Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed four mega election rallies at Bahjani, Sipajhar, Dalgaon and Kalaigaon under Mangaldoi Lok Sabha constituency and urged people to vote for BJP candidate Dilip Saikia.
On the other hand, the Congress party also campaigned in the five pol-bound constituencies with former chief minister Tarun Gogoi campaigning for party candidate Pradyut Bordoloi in Nagaon.
