GUWAHATI: The recovery rate of COVID19 positive patients in Assam is showing a good trend and stands at sixty percent of the total cases reported so far. This was revealed by Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma who was speaking to the media in Guwahati on Friday afternoon.
“The recovery rate of COVID19 patients has crossed the four thousand mark. This is positive news for us though nine persons have died unfortunately. The recovery rate of COVID19 in Assam stands at 60% with a 0.14 death rate,” said Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
In comparison to the rest of the states in India, Assam’s recovery rate is among the first five states. Assam also has one of the lowest mortality rates in India till Friday 26th June.
“If we compare the recovery rate we are in the first five states and in India we are one of the lowest till today on mortality rate,” said the health minister.
