GUWAHATI, Feb 12: Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, today appeared before police at Khar police station in connection with the case related to the show ‘India’s Got Latent’ and the obscene and vulgar remarks she and Ranveer Allahbadia made in the show.
She arrived at the police station accompanied by her lawyer but was seen avoiding the media as she did not answer to posers from waiting reporters.
A complaint was filed against YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina and the organisers of the show ‘India’s Got Latent’ for allegedly using abusive and vulgar language on the show that has shocked the entire nation.
Meanwhile, a team of officers from Guwahati Police arrived in Mumbai today (Feb 12) in connection with the case lodged against the five YouTubers and social influencers — Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Samay Raina — by Guwahati Crime Branch.
The team will carry out investigations against the five social media influencers for promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussion in the show which has now been taken off from YouTube.
