GUWAHATI, Oct 19: Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in paving a solution to the one-and-a-half-year-old Ukraine war.
President Putin’s remarks, made at a press briefing, comes ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the country to take part in the Brics Summit.
“While talking with PM Modi, each time he raises this matter and expressed his considerations. We are thankful to him for that,” Putin said.
Russia began its assault on Ukraine in February 2022 and the two nations have been in a war since then.
