Priyanka’s induction as AICC general secretary ends years of speculation on her taking the plunge into politics and is being seen as a significant development ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
There are also speculations that Priyanka could also contest the elections, either from Amethi — currently held by her elder brother Rahul Gandhi — or her mother Sonia Gandhi’s constituency of Rae Bareli.
