Guwahati: President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday morning arrived at Lengpui airport in Mizoram for his two-day visit to the state.
The President was welcomed by Mizoram Home Minister Pu Lalchamliana and other officials on his arrival.
President Kovind will head to the Raj Bhavan and will address the 16th Convocation of Mizoram University at 4 pm to be held at Tanhril in Aizawl.
Notably, this will be President Kovind’s second visit to Mizoram after taking over charge as president in July 2017.
In November 2017, the President visited Mizoram on a two-day tour.
Meanwhile, during his last visit to Mizoram, President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the Mizoram Legislative Assembly.
