GUWAHATI: Ahead of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) election, former All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) president Pramod Bodo will join United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), announced UPPL chief Urkhao Gwra Brahma.
“It has been confirmed that he will join UPPL. We will welcome him tomorrow,” said UG Brahma.
“Many other top leaders will join our party,” Brahma added.
The announcement of UG Brahma has cleared all the speculations over Pramod Bodo joining politics.
The former president of ABSU left the organisation at its Special Convention on February 12.
Earlier, UPPL chief Urkhao Gwra Brahma appealed Pramod Bodo and other ABSU, NDFB leaders to join UPPL.
Meanwhile, NDFB (Progressive) leader Gobinda Basumatary announced today that all the four factions of NDFB will contest BTC election together.
