GUWAHATI: Congress candidate Pradip Sarkar won the Abhayapuri South seat in Bongaigaon district. Sarkar defeated his nearest rival Purnendu Banikya of AGP with a margin of 46,710 votes.
Pradip Sarkar is the son of late Congress minister Chandan Sarkar.
The election commission has not made any formal announcement till publishing of this report.
