GUWAHATI, Feb 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the ongoing Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, tomorrow (February 5).
PM Modi is scheduled to arrive at Prayagraj by 10:30 am and will then proceed to the Arail Ghat before taking a boat ride to Triveni Sangam.
He will take a holy dip at the Sangam, interact with Hindu saints besides also taking a review of the arrangements made for pilgrims and devotees.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit will coincide Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami which are deeply rooted in religious beliefs of Hindus.
Meanwhile, the third Amrit Snan on the occasion of Basant Panchami was successfully completed at Prayagraj yesterday (Feb 3) with millions of devotees taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
Statistics available with the Uttar Pradesh government revealed that at least 2.33 crore devotees, including many devotees from abroad, took a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam by 6 pm on Monday.
