PM Modi, President Kovind extend VP Naidu Extend Greetings To Citizens On Holi

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Holi on Friday. He said that Holi is a festival of ‘mutual love, affection and brotherhood’ while extending his Holi wishes.

“Wishing you all a very Happy Holi. May this festival of colors, a symbol of mutual love, affection and brotherhood, bring every color of happiness in your life,” the Prime Minister said in a tweet in Hindi.

Holi marks the onset of the spring season. It is the festival of colours and the victory of good over evil. Even though Holi is a festival of the Hindu religion, it is celebrated by various creeds in India.

President Ram Nath Kovind and vice-president Venkaiah Naidu also extended their wishes on the occasion of Holi 2022.

“On the auspicious occasion of Holi, I extend my greetings and best wishes to all our fellow Indians, living in the country and abroad. Holi – the festival of colours, marks the onset of spring season, bringing joy and zeal in our lives. This festival is a living example of social harmony and togetherness. Children, youth, men and women of all ages and backgrounds celebrate this festival with full enthusiasm,” said the President.

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu also greeted the people on the occasion and said, “I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Holi – the festival of colours.”

He further said, “On the auspicious occasion of Holi, let us strive to strengthen the bonds of friendship and amity that hold our society together. May this festival bring peace, harmony, prosperity and happiness in our lives.”

 

Holi is being celebrated in the country on Friday. Holika Dahan was be observed on March 17. The day is also known as Choti Holi and is believed that ego and evil are consumed in Holika’s fire.
