In the pictures, the Prime Minister can be seen taking blessings from his mother. In one of the pictures, he could be seen enjoying food with her.
PM Modi’s mother lives at her ancestral home in Gandhinagar, while the Prime Minister is based in New Delhi due to political commitments. On special occasions, PM Modi visits his mother to seek her blessings.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi spoke with the gathering of Gujarat’s BJP leaders in Gandhinagar, where he urged them to maintain close contact with the people as the state’s Assembly elections approached.
PM Modi is currently in his home state for a two-day visit that will come to an end on Saturday (March 12). He addressed a mega Panchayat convention earlier in the day where he invoked Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.
“Gujarat is the land of Bapu and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Bapu always talked about rural development, self-reliant villages. Today, as we are marking ‘Amrit Mahotsav’, we must fulfil Bapu’s dream of Grameen Vikas,” the prime minister said.
During his stay in Gujarat, he is also expected to sound the poll bugle for the assembly elections scheduled in December this year. The BJP has been in power in the western state since 1995, and Modi served as the chief minister for four terms between 2001 and 2014.
