Guwahati: Hours after one died and several others went missing as two boats collided in the Brahmaputra in Assam’s Jorhat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed his sadness over the accident.
PM Modi stated that all possible efforts are being made to rescue the passengers.
“Saddened by the boat accident in Assam. All possible efforts are being made to rescue the passengers. I pray for everyone’s safety and well-being,” PM Modi tweeted in a post in Assamese.
