GUWAHATI, Jan 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the people of Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura on their 54th Statehood day.
“On Meghalaya’s Statehood Day, I convey my best wishes to the people of the state. Meghalaya is admired for its natural beauty and the industrious nature of the people. Praying for the continuous development of the state in the times to come,” he wrote on ‘X’, formerly Twitter.
“Greetings to the people of Manipur on their Statehood Day. We are incredibly proud of the role played by the people of Manipur towards India’s development. My best wishes for the progress of Manipur,” he wrote in another post.
“Best wishes to the people of Tripura on their Statehood Day. The state is making noteworthy contributions to national progress. It is also known for its rich culture and heritage. May Tripura continue to scale new heights of development,” he wrote in another post on ‘X’, greeting the people of Tripura.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma also greeted the people of the three States on their Statehood day.
“Best wishes to the sisters and brothers of Tripura, Meghalaya and Manipur on their 54th Foundation Day.
Blessed with natural abundance and warm hearted people, our sisterly States truly represent the best of Ashtalakshmi.
Prayers for the continued growth of all the States,” he wrote on social media.
