Peacfulmind Foundation celebrates World Mental Health Day

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Peacfulmind Foundation, led by its visionary founder Dr.Nabhit Kapur organized a webinar focusing on the theme of *”Positive Mental Health at the Workplace”*. The event aimed to emphasize the importance of creating mentally healthy work environments that not only support employees but also enhance overall organizational success.

*Dr.Nabhit Kapur* advocated for more liberal and facilitative workplace policies that promote positive mental health. He stressed the need for strategies such as regular breaks, encouraging nurturing environments, providing counseling services to allow employees to express their concerns, and fostering healthy competition. These strategies, he affirmed, would not only reduce stress but also contribute to a happier, more productive workforce.

To mark this significant occasion, the webinar featured a diverse panel of guests representing various sectors. *Hon. Shaun Malcolm, Minister of Health from Turks and Caicos Islands, and **Hon. Ruthamilda Cecilia, former Minister of Social Affairs from Curaçao, contributed their insights from the policymaker’s perspective. From India, **Ms. Ira Singhal, IAS, Secretary of Health (Andhra Pradesh), joined the discussion, along with mental health professionals **Mr. Dave Sleet from UK and *Dr. Sara from Morocco who provided their expertise on mental wellbeing.

The panelists engaged in compelling discussions around the need for positive mental health in the workplace. Topics ranged from strategies to reduce stress and prevent burnout to tackling mental health stigma and fostering open, supportive work cultures. It became clear that prioritizing mental health is not just an individual concern but a shared responsibility with broad benefits for employees, organizations, and society at large.

A key takeaway from the webinar was that creating positive mental health at work is an ongoing journey. Whether through leadership initiatives, policy reforms, or cultivating empathetic and supportive work environments, everyone has a role to play.
