GUWAHATI, Oct 18: Mumbai Police has received a fresh threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in which Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been asked to pay Rs 5 crore to settle the long-standing feud with Lawrence Bishnoi.
If the money is not paid, or the message ignored, Salman’s fate would be worse than that of Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique.
“If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. This This is a warning and if it’s taken lightly, Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui,” the message read.
The Bollywood actor has been receiving threats from the Bishnoi gang and attempts were made, at least twice this year, by the gang recently to kill the actor.
In April this year, bike-borne assailants had shot at Galaxy Apartments, allegedly to “scare” the actor on the instructions of Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi.
Navi Mumbai police in June foiled another attempt to kill the actor following a tip-off that members of the Bishnoi gang were keeping a watch on the actor’s movements.
Earlier in the week, security was beefed up at the Galaxy apartment of the superstar following the killing of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.
Siddique, leader of the Ajit Pawar faction of NCP, was shot dead, allegedly by assailants of the Bishnoi Gang, in Bandra on Saturday night.
