Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a patient who was admitted to Tangla Community Health Centre in Udalguri district of lower Assam ran away from the centre on Thursday night.
The COVID-19 positive man has been identified as Rintu Doloi.
The patient tried to enter a house in the Tangla area and the incident created panic among the villagers.
Later local residents caught him and informed the police.
“We were patrolling in the area when we got the information about the incident at Banseria Village in Harisinga of Udalguri. The person was in shock; he couldn’t even say where he came from.,” said a police officer.
