Pathaan Worldwide box office collection: SRK-Deepika starrer smashes records with Rs 100 crore on opening day!

Amid fan frenzy of the kind that the Hindi film industry had not witnessed in a very long time, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan’s box office performance has been better than expected on opening day, and that too without the help of traditional marketing tools. 

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’ is off to a flying start, not just in India but at the overseas box office too. At the domestic box office, the film has earned around Rs 54 crore nett and a similar opening has been recorded at the international box office too.

Early estimate suggests that ‘Pathaan’ has rake in $4.5 million on Wednesday. According to boxofficeindia, the worldwide opening day figure is over 100 crore nett and ‘Pathaan’ also marks the first ever century across the world with worldwide gross collection of Rs100-110 crore. The collection in North America will reportedly cross the $1.5 million mark soon. In the Gulf market is expected to contribute over $1 million to the film’s total, and ‘Pathaan’ is likely emerge as the highest grossing Hindi film in Gulf post the pandemic in just two days of its release. Shah Rukh Khan has established his supremacy with this massive release. The film has already broken the opening day collection record of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’ (Rs 50 crore) and Yash’s ‘KGF: 2’ Hindi (Rs 52 crore). At the end of its first weekend, ‘Pathaan’ is expected to earn a record-breaking figure!

Directed by Sidharth Anand, ‘Pathaan’ also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles. The film was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 25. Owing to the Republic Day holiday today, ‘Pathaan’ collection is expected to grow massively.

Speaking about reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika had said, “Well, it’s always been incredible. I think what I feel for him I don’t think I’ll ever be able to express in words. For me, my relationship with him is it’s a feeling, it’s an emotion and it’s just lots of love and it’s unconditional. I think we’ve been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work on some incredible movies starting with Om Shanti Om. I started my career with him. And we’ve had the opportunity to do different kinds of movies together. And to actually see both of us in this space was very exciting for me and I’m sure it was for him as well.”
