SP Parthasarathi Mahanta nominated as the Vice-President of the Six-a-Side Cricket Federation of India


Guwahati: In a moment of pride, Assam’s Parthasarathi Mohanty, Superintendent of Police, Kamrup Rural District, have been nominated for the post of Vice-President in the Six-a-Side Cricket Federation of India

With the approval of Secretary General of the federation Dev Balhara’s proposal, Mahanta has been nominated for the post.

This is the second time that another sports body from Assam has got the opportunity to lead at the national level.

Last year Mahanta was awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Assam Police Day at 4th Assam Police Battalion in Guwahati.

He was choosen for the prestigious award for his effective way of  controlling crime in the district and maintaining law and order.
