Sana Yousaf was shot dead at her Islamabad home by the assailant who came under the guise of a guest

Teenaged Pakistani social TikToker and social media influencer Sana Yousaf was on Tuesday (June 3) shot dead at her residence in Islamabad by an assailant who came to her home as a guest, media reports stated.

Sana was shot dead inside her home in Islamabad’s G-13 Sector, and the assailant entered shot her from close range leading to her immediate death.

Her body was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a post-mortem.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect, a 22-year-old man, had been persistently contacting Sana online and was reportedly upset over repeated rejections.

He was arrested shortly after the incident and confessed to the murder.

Authorities recovered the weapon used in the crime and Sana’s mobile phone during the arrest.

While the motive for the killing remains unclear, police are probing all angles, including that of honour killing.

The incident has sparked widespread grief and outrage across Pakistan, with social media users and activists demanding justice.

Many view her death as a grim example of the vulnerabilities faced by women, especially those in the public eye.
