GUWAHATI, Oct 29: More than 150 people were injured, eight of them critically, in a fireworks accident during a temple festival near Neeleswaram in Kerala late on Monday, the Kasaragod Police said
The incident happened at the Anjoottambalam Veerar Kavu Temple.
The injured were taken to various hospitals in Kasargod, Kannur, and Mangaluru.
Visuals showed crackers triggering a massive fire as people gathered at the temple premises ran to safety.
Police, meanwhile, have lodged a case against eight members at the temple management over alleged lapses during the celebrations.
