Israeli airstrikes on a refugee camp in Gaza killed nine members of one family, reports said.
Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 100 Palestinians overnight, with reports indicating that entire families were wiped out.
The attacks, part of Israel’s intensified military campaign known as Operation Gideon’s Chariots, targeted densely populated areas, including refugee camps and so-called “safe zones” like al-Mawasi, resulting in significant civilian casualties.
The Indonesian Hospital, the main medical facility in northern Gaza, has been forced to shut down due to nearby bombardments.
The bombardment comes amid ceasefire negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and supported by the U.S. are presently underway.
Over 53,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, after 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 taken hostages in Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel.
Israel had resumed strikes in March after a fragile ceasefire which lasted two months collapsed leading more deaths and devastation.
