‘Operation Sindoor still underway’: Indian Air Force makes massive statement after Pakistan violates US-brokered ceasefire

Operation Sindoor was first launched early Wednesday (May 7) to avenge the Pahalgam massacre in which 26 civilians, 25 of them Hindu tourists, were killed by Pakistani terrorists

Operation Sindoor still underway, says Indian Air Force: The Indian Air Force today (May 11) made a massive statement that the Operation Sindoor — launched to avenge the dastardly attack by Pakistan-backed terrorists in Pahalgam — is still underway, and that “a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course”.

The statement, made by the Indian Air Force on its handle on ‘X’, formerly Twitter, comes after Pakistan resorted to a number of violations of the ceasefire which was brokered by US President Donald Trump.

“The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully executed its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor, with precision and professionalism. Operations were conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner, aligned with National Objectives,” the post read.

“Since the Operations are still ongoing, a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course. The IAF urges all to refrain from speculation and dissemination of unverified information,” the post further stated.

The US-brokered ceasefire lasted for a mere 2-3 hours as Pakistan resorted to heavy shelling along the International Border while also launching a barrage of drones targeting key defence installations which were effectively repulsed by our country’s air defence system.

Explosions were also heard in Srinagar, Baramulla and also in Jaisalmer on Saturday evening as blackouts were imposed in several towns and cities, including Jammu, Amritsar, Jaisalmer, after the Pakistani aggression.
