Operation Sindoor Live Updates: India foiled multiple attacks launched by Pakistan since Thursday night before launching a fierce counterattack targeting several towns in Pakistan
Operation Sindoor Live Updates: Pakistan has suffered massive setbacks after Indian forces foiled multiple drone and missile attacks by the neighbouring nation since Thursday night.
India thwarted missile and drone attacks launched from across the border, tagetting military bases in Udhampur, Pathankot and the Jammu airport and launched counter-attacks on Lahore, Karachi and even Islamabad with reports indicating that Pakistan has suffered massive setbacks.
After foiling Pakistan’s attacks, India also downed at least four Pakistani jets, including an F-16.
The Indian Army stated in a statement that the attacks launched by Pakistan were “effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs”.
“Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous cease fire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The drone attacks were effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs.
Indian Army remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignity and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded with force,” the Army statement stated.
The Indian Army also shared the first-ever visual of a Pakistani military post being destroyed in Indian airstrikes across the Line of Control.
Amid the escalation, the IPL match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, was called off as a precautionary measure yesterday following Pakistan’s failed drone attacks.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is meeting the tri-services chiefs and the Chief of the General Staff (CDS) following the developments.
