Guwahati: The Guwahati Police has arrested one person from Golaghat for making derogatory remarks on Maa Kamakhya.
“A WGPD team from Jalukbari PS with assistance from Golaghat Police arrested one Bitupan Gogoi of Golaghat for his derogatory remarks on Maa Kamakhya,” Guwahati Police said in a tweet on Saturday (March 19).
“Legal action has been initiated and Case No 172/22 I/s 253(a)/295(a)/505(1)(C)(2) IPC registered,” it added.
