‘One bridge a day, 15 kms of road construction daily since 2021’; CM Dr Sarma’s sneak peek on ‘The Assam Growth Story’

GUWAHATI, Feb 5: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma Wednesday took to the social media to give a sneak peek on the quantum of infrastructure development that has taken place in the State after his government assumed power at Dispur in 2021.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma said since 2021, his government has built one bridge and almost 15 kms of roads on a daily average which, he further stated, translated to “1,236 bridges and over 18,000km of roads dedicated to the people as of December 2024”.

Things in Assam are now moving at a scale & speed unheard of previously.

Since 2021, we have built 1 bridge and almost 15km of roads per day, i.e., 1236 bridges and over 18,000km of roads have been dedicated to the people as of December 2024,” Chief Minister Dr Sarma posted on ‘X’, formerly Twitter.
