On first day of 2025, Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma dedicates slew of projects to people

GUWAHATI, Jan 1: Assam Chief Minister DR Himanta Biswa Sarma dedicated a number of projects to the people on the first day of the New Year.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma first dedicated the newly-built foot over-bridge at Paltan Bazaar to the people. The foot over-bridge, built at a cost of Rs 17 crore, connects Paltan Bazaar with the Guwahati railway station.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma then dedicated the renovated memorial of Bharat Ratna Gopinath Bordoloi at Nabagraha. He also offered his floral tributes to Lokopriya Bordoloi at the renovated memorial.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma then inaugurated the mini ISBT constructed at Khanapara besides also flagging off a fleet of 56 new electric busses to further the government’s aim of achieving zero carbon emission by 2050.

The Assam Chief Minister then took part in his customary new year’s day interaction with journalists and eminent personalities at the State Guest House at Koinadhora where he touched down about the achievements of his government in the past 12 months besides speaking on various other issues.

He also attended a meeting of his cabinet at the Koinadhora state guest house.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma laid the foundation stone of a multi-crore-rupee project at the Assam State Zoo besides also laying the foundation stone of a 1000-seater new auditorium at Jyoti Chitraban at Kahilipara.
