Muslims in Assam joined the rest of the county, as they offered morning namaz on the occasion of Eid-uz-Zuha, also known as Eid-al-Adha, and prayed for peace and amity in the State in particular and across the world in general.
Morning namaz was offered in mosques and Eidgahs across the State that was followed by the customary quarbani.

At many places, women also joined men in offering Eid Namaz.

Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, among others, greeted people on the occasion of Eid.
