Odisha’s Shoaib Aftab topped NEET with 720 out of 720 marks

Guwahati: Shoaib Aftab from Orisha passed the NEET exam with a record-breaking number. He got 100 percent marks in the All India Medical Entrance Examination i.e. 720 out of 720 marks.

Apart from this, Shoaib has also created another history in Odisha for the first time by becoming a neet topper. Shoaib, who got 100 percent marks, are very happy with their son’s hard work and passion.

Shoaib Aftab is the son of a businessman in Rourkela. His father is in the construction business. Shoaib is the first member of the family to choose medicine as his profession. He prepared for his entrance exam from Kota in Rajasthan.

Shoaib, who was coaching in Kota, Rajasthan, said that when all the students from Kota were returning to their homes due to the coronavirus lockdown, he stayed there with his mother and sister and continued his coaching classes from Allen Career Institute in Kota.

Shoaib shared his experience and said that his father’s business suddenly deteriorated. At that time he could not think of how to go to Kota to study. But when his father left his earlier business and started a construction business, their economical situation returned to normal. He was also supported by his family in his journey of being a topper in the entrance examination.

He also met Lok Sabha speaker and Member of Parliament from Kota, Om Birla on Thursday.

Shoaib Aftab wants to become a cardiac surgeon after finishing his medical studies.
