Now, senior Congress leader Sailen Bora quits party

GUWAHATI, March 21: In another blow to the beleaguered Congress party in Assam, senior party leader Sailen Bora, who held the post of general secretary of APCC for two decades, resigned from primary membership of the party today.

Bora tendered his resignation to APCC Chief Bhupen Borah.

“I am resigning from the executive and primary membership of APCC effective from tomorrow,” he wrote in his resignation letter that was reportedly e-mailed to Bhupen Bora yesterday (Wednesday).
