13 Assam women included in India’ first all-women SWAT unit

Delhi police incorporates all-women SWAT commando unit in their quest to shield Delhi from terrorism. Good news is that there are thirteen women of Assam in this unit along with other women from North East States.

Five women from Arunachal Pradesh, five from Sikkim, five from Manipur, four from Meghalaya, two from Nagaland, one from Mizoram and one from Tripura included in this unit.

These brave women will also provide security to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Independence Day celebration. They are also part of India’s first all-women SWAT team, comprising of all 36 commandos from Northeastern States.
