GUWAHATI, Feb 17: Amid questions of veteran actor Raj Babbar not getting an invite to his son Prateik Babbar’s wedding, solemnised on valentine’s Day, Prateik’s wife Priya Banerjee, with whom he was in a live-in relationship for nearly five years, has broken the silence, dismissing reports that Prateik’s family was “absent” from their wedding.
“There was absolutely no family member who was missing from the wedding or our celebrations. I don’t know why there are rumours that “family members” were absent. Our families where there including my parents, his aunts who raised him, his nana-nani and everyone who mattered and is family was with us. And there was absolutely nobody who is family was missing,” Priya told Hindustan Times.
She also said that getting married to Prateik “doesn’t feel any different” since they were living together “under the same roof” for almost five years.
“I feel like I have known him forever. It feels the same,” the HT report quoted her as saying.
