No new COVID-19 cases reported In Assam for two consecutive days for the first time in two years

Guwahati: For the first time in nearly two years, no COVID-19 cases were reported in Assam on Thursday (March 10) and Friday (March 11).

The first COVID-19 case was reported in the state on March 31, 2020.

On Thursday, a total of 1,713 COVID tests were conducted in the state. While on Friday, 1,456 tests were conducted.

Further, no fresh fatality was reported in the state since March 3.

Meanwhile, 13 patients recovered on March 10 and 7 patients recovered on March 11.

Earlier on Wednesday (March 9), 3 COVID-19 cases were reported in the state.

According to data released by NHM, Assam on March 11, 7,24,170 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the State so far. Out of which, 7,16,163 patients have recovered, while 6,639 patients passed away.

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 21.

Over 2.83 crore COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state so far.

As many as 4,35,97,337 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Assam so far. This includes 2,34,24,192 persons administered with the first dose and 1,99,00,056 administered both doses of the vaccine.

So far, 2,73,089 precautionary doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Assam.
