News Live Impact:  Janata Bhawan bans entry till March 31

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has banned the entry of common citizens to Janata Bhawan to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. A News Live report on Tuesday revealed long queue of the people at the state secretariat despite the government’s directives restricting mass gathering. Following the report, the authorities has decided to take strict measures restricting the entry of laymen to Janata Bhawan.

Visitors will not be allowed to enter Janata Bhawan till March 31. No one will be able to meet ministers or the officials at the secretariat as visitor’s pass will not be issued to anyone during this period.

The citizens will be only allowed to raise their issues through email.

On Tuesday, Assam government restricted the mass gathering of more than 50 people to prevent the spread of deadly Coronavirus in Assam. However, a News Live report showed a large number of vistors waiting in-front of the secretariat.
