GUWAHATI: The new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for COVID19 in Assam will be released in some time. According to sources, there are chances of complete curfew in the districts of Golaghat and Jorhat. Both the districts are in Red Zone due to increasing cases of COVID19.
Apart from the five administrative districts of Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Sivasagar and Dibrugarh rest of the state is witnessing a marginal decline in COVID19 cases and the situation is under control now.
In the new SOP, there are chances of stricter measures for the three districts of Lakhimpur, Sivasagar and Dibrugarh where positivity rates have not come down.
Moreover, it seems the inter-district travel will remain suspended till further notice.
