GUWAHATI: The new COVID19 Standard Operating Procedure for Assam will ease various restrictions and relaxation has been provided to all the districts. This was announced by Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Red Zone districts of Golaghat and Lakhimpur will have curfew relaxations. Shops and businesses can operate from 5 AM to 1 PM and the curfew will be in place from 2 PM to 5 AM.
In rest of the districts of Assam, curfew restrictions will come in place from 5 PM. Shops and businesses can open till afternoon 4 PM. The curfew will be in place from 5 PM to 5 AM in these districts.
The administration will likely allow the opening of business establishments till 6 PM from 7 August.
Inter-district will be allowed from 16 August. The inter-district travel has remained suspended from 21 May.
Higher education might be allowed to open from 1 September depending on the development. This has been stated by Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
