Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday greeted people on the start of the holy month of Ramzan.
“Greetings on the start of the holy month of Ramzan. May this auspicious month further the spirit of harmony, happiness and brotherhood in our society,” he tweeted.
Ramzan, the month of fasting in Islam, will begin from Tuesday.
It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar when Muslims abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset. Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramzan.
