National Police Commemoration Day 2020 celebrated in Guwahati

Guwahati: The National Police Commemoration Day is being celebrated at 4th APBN in Kahilipara, Guwahati today. 

Assam Police also paid tributes to the braveheart officials and their families by commemorating Smriti Parade to observe the day by remembering their sacrifices for the country. 

For the last several months, police officers from across the country have been working round the clock to ensure minimal violation of COVID-19 norms. On the frontline of the war against coronavirus, police officers have been risking their own lives to contain the spread of COVID-19. 

On the occasion of National Police Commemoration Day, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also paid his deepest respect to the Police officials on National Police Commemoration Day

Taking to his tweeter CM Sonowal said, “Extending my deepest respects to the braveheart personnel of the Indian police family on #PoliceCommemorationDay. I salute their selfless sacrifice in the line of duty and dedication to serve the nation facing all odds.”

The day is observed every year to pay homage to the 10 CRPF jawans who laid down their lives battling the Chinese Army in Ladakh’s Hot Spring area.
