Nandini Choudhury, also known as Bhumi, was crowned Miss Hailakandi Diva-2023 at a fashion event held in Rabindra Bhaban, Hailakandi, on Friday night.
The 13-year-old Bhumi received this honour from “Chitrakotha,” a leading Fashion and Photography Institute in Southern Assam’s Hailakandi District.
In this beauty contest, Madhabi Deb was crowned the first runner-up, and Shilpa Das won the 2nd Runner-up crown. A total of 37 participants from different parts of Barak Valley took part in this grand beauty and fashion contest.
Earlier, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Akhil Datta, District Transport Officer Rupameli Terampi, renowned social worker Gautam Gupta, Motor Vehicle Inspector Parag Saikia, and beauty competition judges Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta and Dr. Pinak Mahanta, along Amitabh Sarma, CMD of NH News, inaugurated the event.
The beauty competition primarily included participants from various categories, catering to men, women, and children. A total of 37 participants are taking part in this beauty competition. In the children’s section, the names of the winning participants were announced at the beginning of the show.
In the boys’ category for kids, Bihant Saha secured the first position, followed by Arnadeep Nath in second place, and Himadri Roy in third place. Conversely, in the girls’ category for kids, Shraddha Sharma claimed the first position, Ayushi Pal secured the second position, and Aditi Chakraborty achieved the third position.
The fashion competition was also named “Mr. Hailakandi” after several thrilling rounds of ramp walk and personality measurement. Abhijit Chakraborty was crowned as Mr. Hailakandi, followed by Satyam Das and Anuraj Goala as the 1st and 2nd Runners-up of this fashion competition.
The beauty competition was organized with the collaboration of Hailakandi’s leading news portal NH News. In addition, Deep Neshamukti Kendra, Maas Fashion, Mom’s Studio, Paramita Professional Beauty Parlour, and Sandeep DJ have also supported this event. Shruti Das and Puja Kirtaniya of Silchar took the responsiblity to groom the participants .
